Feature Friday: Living with Less Podcast with Chelsey DeMatteis
Hey ya’ll! It’s feature friday! I am so excited to feature the Living with Less Podcast hosted by Chelsey DeMatteis. Chelsey’s show has just reached it’s tenth episode and she has already touched on some amazing topics on her podcast. I hope that you’ll keep reading to learn more about Chelsey, her podcast, and about Living with Less…
About the Living with Less Podcast
Chelsey’s purpose with the living with less podcast is to share the ways God is challenging, shaping, and changing her. John 3:30 says, “He must increase, but I must decrease”, and Chelsey aims to share messages of encouragement in areas of our lives that we need to decrease, so that Christ can increase. Chelsey talks about the burdens of life that we face, how those burdens look different in varying seasons of life, and what it looks like to lay those burdens down at the cross and turn to Christ.
Recent Living with Less Episodes:
Chelsey is a wife and stay at home mom. Prior to that she was a personal trainer, but after having her son she was called to stay at home with her little guy. Being able to stay home with her son has been her greatest blessing, but also began to experience some of the difficulties that stay at home moms often do. At the end of 2018, she was compelled to clean out the physical clutter from her home. As she was cleaning out and reading through some old prayer journals the Lord confirmed her need to live with less, remove other types of “clutter” in her life, and cast off burdens from broken memories and broken relationships. She knew she couldn’t carry these burdens any longer, and that it was time to lay those burdens at the cross and give them to the Lord to carry for her so she can move forward in serving Him.
“He gives strength to the weary, and to Him who lacks might, He increases power.” Isaiah 40:29
Chelsey wants to encourage people to call on the Lord, to find rest in Him, and to allow Him to carry their burdens. This is her aim for the Living with Less Podcast. I hope that you’ll take some time to visit the podcast page and listen to Chelsey’s words, and I pray you find encouragement from them.
